Course Description

A high-altitude mountain challenge. Skyward Canyon is a demanding yet enjoyable race through Oman’s Hajar range, starting from Imti and finishing in Birkat Al Mouz. The course opens with a steep initial climb, rapidly gaining elevation before reaching running sections above 2,000 m. High-mountain traverses, rocky trails, and exposed canyon terrain require steady pacing and controlled effort. The route crosses traditional mountain villages and terraced paths linking high plateaus to lower valleys. A long descent leads runners down toward Birkat Al Mouz, demanding focus and efficient downhill technique. Skyward Canyon delivers a balanced test of climbing strength, altitude running, and technical descent in a compact mountain course.
